More than 3,100 students are expected to graduate from the University of Florida during three summer commencement ceremonies scheduled for Friday, Aug. 7, and Saturday, Aug. 8, at the Exactech Arena in the Stephen C. O’Connell Center. Among the graduates are 109 first-generation college students. The first ceremony, recognizing 423 doctoral graduates, will begin at 2 p.m. on Friday. His work has contributed to biotechnology companies and therapeutic development programs focused on genetic and other serious diseases.
