Sunday afternoon at approximately 4:08, Texas County 911 Center began receiving multiple calls of an airplane crash southeast of the Guymon airport in the vicinity of a residential neighborhood. Guymon Fire Department, Guymon Police, Texas County Sheriff Office, and Oklahoma Highway Patrol immediately responded. The crash resulted in a large grass fireapproximately 20 acres which directly threatened homes on Seneca. Guymon Firefighters arrived protecting the homes and calling in fire units from Goodwell, Optima, and Hooker as well to contain the fire. Oklahoma Highway Patrol, Office of the Oklahoma Medical Examiner, FAA, and NTSB are investigating this crash.
