The Seward County Commission met on Monday evening at 5:30 pm and approved the acceptance of a $1,000 donation from S&M Cycle Center to be deposited into the Seward County Fire Department Bequest Fund to purchase equipment of their choice. The Board also approved and signed the FY2026 Year-End Outcome Report as presented for Cimarron Basin Community Corrections. Commissioners approved rescinding the previously approved wage adjustment for the Treasurer’s office and will look at the changes at budget time. The Commission approved the Treasurer’s Register, and approved Resolution 2026-15 appointing David Turner as the Emergency Management Director for Seward County, Kansas and to allow Chairman, Steve Helm to sign the letter appointing David Turner to the Homeland Security Regional Council. Commissioners approved moving Brock Theiner’s salary from Landfill to the General Fund and approved to continue their partnership and support of Kansas WorkforceONE.
