Yesterday I walked St George streets with a friend, walking off path at times to avoid the litter of green metal - lime bikes- discarded randomly. At one 20 mt stretch there were 12 bikes. Two had helmets in their baskets, two had full dog poo bags and the remainder various amounts of plastic and food rubbish.Who in State Government has been paid and how much, to force councils to adopt this eyesore. The only way this works in other countries is if the credit card continues to be charged until DOCKED at a station. We need to learn from other places where it hasn't worked and fight to keep them out of the shire unless Docking stations are introduced. We are going to very quickly be a scattered rubbish dump for this green metal unless someone can say NOT IN OUR SHIRE!
