A 19-year-old Wendell man is facing multiple charges after Wake County deputies say he attacked a woman with a machete and poured gasoline on her during an alleged domestic violence incident early Thursday morning. According to the Wake County Sheriff's Office, deputies responded to a reported domestic disturbance in the 1020 block of Old Homeplace Circle near Wendell. When deputies arrived, the victim told them a man shattered the windows of the vehicle she was inside before pouring gasoline on her. According to court documents, Jimenez is accused of assaulting the victim, identified as Estephanie Sosa Gonzalez, with "a machete and gasoline" with the intent to kill her. Charging documents also allege he grabbed the woman by her hair, poured gasoline on her and threatened to kill her while holding the machete.
