At least three countries have qualified for the quarter-final stage at the ongoing 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations, WAFCON, competition. They are Cameroon, Morocco and Algeria. DAILY POST reports that Cameroon were the first nation to qualify for the WAFCON last-8 after securing a 1-0 win over Ghana on Sunday. Similarly, hosts Morocco topped Group A after goalless draw by Senegal in a tough match in Rabat on Monday night. Finally, Algeria secured their place in the quarter-finals following a 2-0 victory over Kenya to seal second place in Group A behind Morocco.
