According to a leaked roadmap and a report sent to publishers that’s been reviewed by The Verge, Xbox’s previously reported disc-to-digital program will roll out to the general public this month. The roadmap also indicated that a wider rollout of original Xbox games on PC would take place in October, while Xbox 360 games are set to arrive on current-gen consoles beginning next year and into 2028. On X, a Brazilian language account shared a graphic of the roadmap that you can check out here, or see below. The disc-to-digital program is an attempt at future-proofing the potential forthcoming end of physical disc drives by granting users a transferable digital license for games they own on disc. In addition to disc-to-digital, Xbox has other plans for making its back catalog more widely available.
