NET Web DeskKohima, July 30: The Nagaland government has prohibited the construction and operation of dhabas, eateries and all other commercial structures within the Right of Way (RoW) of National Highways across the state with immediate effect. In a notification, the Department of Works and Housing (Works Branch) directed all Deputy Commissioners to strictly enforce the demolition and removal of unauthorised structures located within the Right of Way of National Highways. The government said the directive has been issued in compliance with Supreme Court orders aimed at ensuring road safety, preventing encroachments and maintaining unobstructed National Highway corridors. District administrations have been instructed to take immediate action against violations and ensure strict implementation of the order across the state.
