The Ross County Land Bank held a short meeting on August 3rd, 2026, to approve spending “American Rescue Plan Act” (covid) grant funds on the project. Kenneth Oehlers, executive director of Habitat for Humanity of Southeast Ohio, accepted that commission. Oehlers said they were entering into a strategic partnership with the local Habitat – which is not uncommon – and will put SV Habitat volunteers to use in the project. To learn more, apply, volunteer, or donate, he said to visit the websites of Habitat for Humanity of Southeast Ohio or Scioto Valley Habitat for Humanity. Learn about the Land Bank on the city’s website, or search for stories on the Scioto Post.
