Blue has always been my default colour. There is a particular soft shade of it that has been popping up all over the shop lately, and I feel a bizarre sort of pride about it. Like my friend has got a new job, or a lesser-known musician I’ve listened to for years has suddenly got a No. I am aware that this is wildly irrational; blue is a primary colour and has never been out of style. But this particular shade is having a moment, and I’m excited about it.
