Three fire engines from Runcorn, Powey Lane and Ellesmere Port, plus one of the weekday fire engines were called to the scene in Bank House Lane at about 3pm today, Monday. A spokesperson for Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service said: "Firefighters are at a field fire on Bank House Lane in Frodsham. "Crews have surrounded the fire on all four sides and are continuing to work hard to dampen it down and bring it under control. "Residents nearby are advised to keep doors and windows closed if they are affected by smoke and to avoid the immediate area where possible."
