The Steamboat Springs School District has released a request for qualifications and proposals for owner’s representative services regarding its 2.23-acre parcel near Sleeping Giant School, intended to be the site for 20 employee housing units, states a recent news release. In February, however, the district pulled the plug on Rural Homes, citing uncertainty over construction costs and project timelines. “Affordable housing remains one of the most pressing challenges in Steamboat Springs,” states the request. “The Steamboat Springs School District is committed to developing sustainable, long-term housing solutions for its teachers and staff.” Proposals are due by Wednesday, Aug. 5 at 4 p.m. To view the full request, visit tinyurl.com/mrypffmy .
