Alcohol is believed to be a factor in a Forest Lake crash that left a state trooper and another person seriously injured. Both the state trooper and the driver of the Lexus were brought to the hospital, with Minnesota State Patrol saying that both drivers suffered serious injuries. State Patrol confirmed with 5 EYEWITNESS NEWS on Wednesday that the state trooper is Vu Tan Nguyen. Authorities said that the state trooper was parked in the median bypass of I-35 conducting stationary speed enforcement.
