Born in 1945, Jimmy began his career working in holiday camps before becoming a familiar face on television and radio across the UK. He appeared on several Royal Variety Shows and was known for programmes including And There’s More, Bullseye, and BBC Radio 2’s Jimmy’s Cricket Team. He also toured extensively with a range of entertainers, including The Osmonds, Brotherhood of Man, Paul Daniels and The Krankies. In a statement, his family said he died on Monday morning surrounded by loved ones. Jimmy lived in Lancashire with his wife May, whom he had been married to for 52 years.
