Lidl US Expands Recall of Eridanous Shortbread Cookies Over Undeclared Wheat, Soy, Milk, Egg, and Coconut AllergensLidl US has expanded a voluntary recall of two varieties of Eridanous Shortbread Cookies due to undeclared allergens, according to an official announcement posted by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration on July 31, 2026.
Lidl Expands Recall of Eridanous Shortbread CookiesThe recall covers all units of the following products that were packaged with foreign-language labeling: Eridanous Shortbread Cookies with Chocolate Truffle Coating & Apricot Filling (11.6 oz, UPC 4056489125839) and Eridanous Shortbread Cookies with Apricot Filling and Cocoa Topping with Coconut Sprinkles (11.6 oz, UPC 4056489125846).
Both products are sold in 330-gram boxes under the Eridanous brand at Lidl stores.
As a result, shoppers had no way to identify that the cookies contain wheat, soy, milk, egg, and tree nut (coconut) — five common allergens.
Lidl US is asking customers to either discard the cookies or return them to any Lidl store for a full refund.
