PENFIELD, N.Y. — Monroe County sheriff’s deputies say a tip from someone at Ellison Park in Penfield helped them to find a 19-year-old woman who went missing on Monday evening during a walk. The sheriff’s office has shared new details on what led them to find Emma Oppedisano alive on Tuesday afternoon. News10NBC saw first responders searching around Ellison Park, including with a drone and scuba team, on Monday night. On Tuesday, our photojournalist saw a helicopter flying over the park, boats searching along Irondequoit Creek, and deputies searching along trails. The sheriff’s office was first notified around 8:30 p.m. that Oppedisano was missing, after she became separated from her father around Browncroft and Old Browncroft boulevards.
