A fundraiser has been launched to support Irish boxer Lee Reeves, who remains in a stable but critical condition in hospital following his defeat to Gary Cully on Saturday night. Reeves, 31 and from Limerick, Ireland, was stopped in the 10th round by fellow Irishman Cully on a Queensberry Promotions card in Dublin. There was immediate concern after Reeves, 16-2 (11 KOs), was knocked unconscious by the finishing blow and stretchered from the ring. Former Irish professional boxer Jonathan O’Brien has since launched a fundraiser with a target of €16,000 to help Reeves and his family with medical costs, recovery expenses, and other financial burdens during this tough time. “I’m setting this up to help raise as much as we can for Lee Reeves and his family to help cover his medical costs and recovery expenses,” O’Brien wrote.
