A new community planning and design effort gets underway tonight, giving residents, business owners and other stakeholders a chance to help shape the future of the Riverview Drive corridor and portions of downtown Benton Harbor. Residents, business owners and others who live, work or invest in Benton Harbor are invited. The significance of the new effort is that Benton Harbor isn’t starting from scratch. That means the Benton Harbor process is intended to move beyond simply producing another long-range plan. The first chance to weigh in comes tonight at 5:30 p.m. at the Benton Harbor Urban Innovation Lab, 510 W. Main Street.
