Whirlpool Corporation says its turnaround efforts are beginning to gain traction, although the Benton Harbor-based appliance maker continues to face a challenging global marketplace. Chairman and CEO Marc Bitzer said Whirlpool is encouraged by the company’s progress. For the quarter ending June 30, Whirlpool reported net sales of $3.52 billion, down nearly 7% from $3.77 billion during the same period a year ago. Despite the softer year-over-year comparisons, Whirlpool said pricing actions announced earlier this year are beginning to improve profitability compared with the first quarter. Whirlpool left its full-year sales and operating outlook unchanged, continuing to forecast approximately $15 billion in revenue for 2026.
