Lancashire Police said the woman was arrested after giving a roadside breath test reading of 64 micrograms per 100ml of breath, almost double the legal limit of 35mcg. The arrest was one of dozens made by officers targeting drink and drug driving across the county over the past week. Police revealed that some of the highest roadside breath test readings recorded during the operation were 129mcg, 126mcg and 114mcg, all more than three times the legal limit. A further 18 people were arrested on suspicion of driving while unfit through drink or drugs, while six people were arrested for failing to provide a breath test. Lancashire Police is urging anyone who suspects somebody is drink or drug driving to come forward with information.
