Kapseret Member of Parliament Oscar Sudi has called on Interior Cabinet Secretary Kipchumba Murkomen and Director of Criminal Investigations Mohamed Amin to arrest Democracy for the Citizens Party (DCP) Leader Rigathi Gachagua. He accused the former deputy president of pushing to exclude non-locals living in the Mount Kenya region, cautioning that such a narrative threatens to spark tribal clashes. Murkomen and DCI Amin, if you cannot do your job, resign. The lawmaker questioned why Gachagua promotes the marginalization of non-locals and pro-Ruto figures within Mount Kenya, even as members of his own community live and work across the nation. Authorities arrested Kaguchia after he warned Mount Kenya residents against supporting President Ruto’s 2027 re-election bid during a weekend rally in Kieni, Nyeri County.
