Suffolk Constabulary was called at 1.35pm on Monday to reports of oil across the road at junction 44 in the westbound direction. The fuel tank of a lorry ruptured, leaving fuel across the carriageway. One lane was closed while Highways dealt with the incident and drivers heading towards Bury St Edmunds faced long delays. The fuel was cleared by just after 4pm.
