Kohima, August 3 (MExN): The Jo Foundation Inclusive School presented a musical production of “The Sound of Music” at the RCEMPA, Kohima on August 1. Recalling her grandmother, who could neither read nor understand English but was captivated by the film’s music and humanity, Dr Thong said, “She taught us something profound – that the language of love, kindness, courage, and music transcends words.” Today, the school has grown in purpose and reach, with its first batch of students successfully completing Class 10 examinations in 2022. “It was a powerful reminder that when children are given understanding, encouragement, and the right opportunities, they can achieve far more than the world sometimes expects,” Dr Thong said. A portion of the funds, she added, would also go to “our brothers and sisters in Mon.”
