The Framework Agreement was signed on August 3, 2015. In Imphal, scholars, activists, intellectuals, advocates and public leaders held discussions on the Framework Agreement and what they described as its significance. In Ukhrul, the Tangkhul Naga Long (TNL) organised a rally demanding the early implementation of the Framework Agreement. He said the commemorative programmes reflected the desire of Nagas in Manipur for an early political solution based on the Framework Agreement. The Government of India has consistently maintained that any final settlement of the Naga political issue will be within the framework of the Constitution of India.
