DIMAPUR, AUGUST 3 (MExN): The Phom Students’ Conference (PSC) sealed the office of the District Child Protection Unit in Longleng citing continued non-functioning and dereliction. The office was sealed on August 3. The student body cited continued non-functioning of the District Child Protection Unit (DCPU) office in Longleng. On more than seven occasions, it held that the DCPU office was found “closed and locked during official working hours.” The students’ body urged the higher authorities to initiate appropriate departmental action against the concerned officials and ensure the proper functioning of the DCPU, Longleng, for ensuring essential child protection services.
