Bruce Springsteen’s wife Patti Scialfa is in remission after living with multiple myeloma for more than eight years.
Bruce spoke about Patti’s experience with multiple myeloma, a form of blood cancer, while thanking researchers, doctors and nurses involved in cancer treatment.
Addressing supporters during the fundraiser, Bruce said: “As you know, Patti’s been living with her multiple myeloma for over eight years, but now, thankfully, she is in remission.”
According to the Mayo Clinic, multiple myeloma is a cancer that forms in plasma cells, a type of white blood cell.
Bruce and Patti married in 1991 and have three children – Evan, 36, Jessica, 34, and Sam, 32.
