(Bianca De Marchi/AAP PHOTOS) Credit: AAPA senior Liberal has refused to be drawn on whether his son will front a corruption inquiry, revealing he has not spoken to him for a month.
"I haven't spoken to him for over a month unfortunately because of those proceedings," the sullen senior Liberal MP told the commission on Tuesday.
The senior Liberal MP, who stepped down from being shadow attorney-general earlier in July, recalled his son being stressed at a Sunday family lunch over a contract with lobbyist and former Liberal staffer Christian Ellis.
When pressed by Dr Dwyer on who was applying that pressure, Mr Tudehope confirmed it was Mr Ellis.
Mr Tudehope was not a member of the Reformers, but was closely associated with several members through involvement in the party's right-wing faction.
