Ram Trucks Australia has confirmed the country's best-selling full-size pickup, the Ram 1500, will be affected by a global recall covering more than 1.5 million vehicles. "Ram Trucks Australia will recall approximately 800 examples of MY25 and MY26 Ram 1500 vehicles built since June 2025 to inspect the rear seatbelts, following the announcement of a recall campaign in the US," the company said. "Owners of affected vehicles will be contacted by Ram Trucks Australia and/or their local Ram dealer for the vehicle to be inspected. "The 20,000-plus Ram 1500 vehicles remanufactured and sold locally since 2018 – outside of this recent production period – are unaffected by this recall." The Ram 1500 has been Australia's best-selling full-size pickup for the past eight consecutive years, outselling the Ford F-150, Chevrolet Silverado and Toyota Tundra.
