A Glen Allen student has been recognized among the nation's top youth volunteers for service to veterans, earning a $20,000 scholarship from Disabled American Veterans. Faribah Nuha of Glen Allen was awarded the organization's $20,000 scholarship as one of 15 recipients selected nationwide through the 2026 DAV Scholarships program. The scholarships recognize students who have demonstrated exceptional volunteer service to veterans through the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs Voluntary Service Program or DAV's Local Veterans Assistance Program. "Each one of our scholarship recipients has done significant and meaningful work helping our nation's veterans, and we are so proud of what they've done," DAV National Commander Coleman Nee said. The annual DAV Scholarships program honors students for their commitment to improving the lives of military veterans through volunteer service.
