HYDERABAD: A first‑year Osmania University student from South Sudan has been selected to participate in the Youth Empowerment Forum (YEF) 2026, an international leadership programme to be held in Geneva, Switzerland, from September 3 to 6. The forum brings together students, young professionals, entrepreneurs and emerging leaders from more than 150 countries to discuss leadership, public policy, innovation and international collaboration. Delegates will also be eligible to compete for a US$ 1,000 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) Action Grant. The Office of International Affairs (OIA) at Osmania University issued a No Objection Certificate (NOC) allowing him to travel to Switzerland and return to continue his studies after verifying his academic records and student status. Prof. B. Vijaya, director of the office of international affairs, congratulated Manguak and wished him success in representing both Osmania University and South Sudan at the international forum.
