Mangaluru: Train services through the Shirivagilu–Yedakumari ghat section resumed on Monday night after debris were cleared and the track was declared fit for operations. 17378 became the first service to pass through the section after operations resumed, marking the restoration of connectivity on the route. Although train movement has resumed, railway authorities have imposed a temporary speed restriction of 10 kmph through the affected stretch as a precautionary measure. Passengers have been advised that some services may continue to experience minor delays until normal schedules are fully restored. “South Western Railway remains committed to safe, reliable, and priority-driven rail operations,” officials added.
