Visakhapatnam: The Anglo-Indian community of Visakhapatnam came together in a spirited celebration of World Anglo-Indian Day at Seethammadhara in Vizag, on August 2. Organised by the Anglo-Indian Community Association of Andhra Pradesh, Visakhapatnam Branch, the event reflected unity, pride and cultural vibrancy. The evening programme commenced with a prayer and a presidential address highlighting the significance of World Anglo-Indian Day, the association’s role, and schemes for minority upliftment. The ceremony honoured distinguished Anglo-Indians for lifetime achievements, including Anita Pereira, Christabel Stevenson and Aubrey Bernard Hoyle, celebrating their dedication and success. Musician Lemuel Stevenson electrified the gathering with nostalgic performances, encouraging the crowd to join in song and dance.
