HYDERABAD: The southern discom issued orders field officers for swift resolution of operational bottlenecks affecting rooftop solar, open‑access projects, agricultural solarisation and grid connectivity. The orders were issued at a virtual meeting organised by the Federation of Telangana Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FTCCI), bringing together the Telangana Southern Power Distribution Company Limited (TGSPDCL) leadership and 95 solar industry stakeholders. For issues needing regulatory or policy intervention, Patil asked FTCCI to submit a consolidated representation to the chief engineer (IPC) to enable focused examination and structured resolution. The CMD also issued instant instructions to resolve concerns of short‑term and long‑term solar projects under Open Access. He added that the CMD assured the availability of 7,000 net meters by August 7 to address field‑level shortages.
