Kakinada: A woman from Konaseema district who was stranded in Kuwait after sustaining injuries returned safely to her native village on Monday following the intervention of the district administration. M. Kanaka Durga, a resident of Thottaramudi village in Ainavilli mandal, had travelled to Kuwait in June 2026 for employment through an agent from Palakollu in West Godavari district. The victim alleged that when she sought to return to India, the agent demanded Rs.2 lakh to arrange her travel. Her relatives approached the Konaseema Centre for Migration (KCM), following which the district administration intervened. Konaseema district collector R. Mahesh Kumar facilitated efforts to resolve the issue.
