The Islamabad High Court (IHC) has extended its order restraining NHA from collecting a 50 percent additional toll tax from vehicles without an M-Tag or with insufficient balance. The extension came during a hearing on a petition challenging the notification for the additional toll tax. Justice Arbab Muhammad Tahir asked the counsel for the petitioner whether he had received a copy of the reply. Justice Arbab Muhammad Tahir acknowledged awareness of the other case but clarified that the two petitions would be treated separately. The court subsequently extended its order restraining NHA from collecting the 50 percent additional toll tax from vehicles lacking an M-Tag or carrying a low balance, and adjourned the hearing to a later date.
