The men—Amit Kumar, Chhot Singh Dhurve, Jeet Singh Dhurve, Karan Singh Maravi, Pramod Singh, Sanjay Markam and Santosh Paraste—were also fined 100,000 rupees each. According to accounts from Christian advocacy groups, a crowd of Hindu nationalists surrounded the home of Suday Singh Maravi while relatives and friends celebrated his 5-year-old daughter’s birthday.
