In addition, health warnings on all smoking products will be marked in a uniform size of 75% of the packaging area, in order to prevent the products from being mistakenly perceived as “reduced risk.” The warnings illustrate the harms of smoking itself as well as the harms resulting from exposure to smoke, and will apply to all smoking products, including cigarettes, electronic cigarettes, tobacco products for oral consumption, and hookah products, as part of a comprehensive policy to reduce smoking, prevent smoking initiation, and encourage cessation.
