Knicks senior vice president of basketball operations Gersson Rosas is no longer with the organization, according to Michael Scotto of HoopsHype (Twitter link), who notes that the veteran NBA executive hinted at his departure in a recent Instagram post. Rosas was hired by New York as a senior basketball consultant in February 2022. He was promoted to the senior VP position in September 2023, shortly before the 2023/24 season began. He returned to his previous role with the Rockets, spending another six years as Houston’s executive VP of basketball operations, before he was hired to lead Minnesota’s front office in 2019. Rosas, 48, helped assemble the Knicks team that won its first championship in 53 years in June.
