CCTV cameras could soon be put up at one of Fermanagh’s best known landmarks following a vandalism attack earlier this year. Significant damage was caused to Cole’s Monument within Forthill Park in Enniskillen during the attack at the end of May. AdvertisementNow, the council wants to install security cameras at the monument to prevent any more vandalism of the historic monument. The council’s CCTV plan would see a security camera installed on the internal side of the main door into Cole’s Monument. Work on Cole’s Monument started in 1845 and the monument took twelve years to complete.
