(ABC 6 News) — The Freeborn County Fair officially kicks off this week, and organizers were at the fairgrounds Monday making last-minute preparations for the celebration. The fair officially kicks off on Tuesday at the Freeborn County Fairgrounds in Albert Lea, and vendors were seen setting up throughout the day for the big event. However, organizers say the fair is best known for its entertainment on the grandstand. “We’re known for our grandstand acts at the Freeborn County Fair in Albert Lea. The Freeborn County Fair will run through Sunday, August 9.
