The 1960s band Phil Collins never wanted to forget: “Pretty good”Depending on which side of the fence you’re on, Phil Collins is either the best or the worst thing to happen to modern music.
After all, Gallagher once branded Collins as the “antichrist of music”, effectively claiming that his material was nothing more than chart-hogging drivel that should be anywhere else other than blocking real music.
This only exacerbated what became a decades-long tiff, centred on the idea that Collins is effectively to music what McDonald’s is to the nutrition industry.
At this stage, most musicians would have likely played it safe and done what they needed to do to ensure career success and longevity.
Suppose it makes sense, then, that Collins looks back fondly on that time in his career.
