Could Fiji Airways be Western Sydney’s next airline?
['Sofia Geraghty']
Travel Weekly
Fiji Airways is exploring a new route between Nadi and Western Sydney International Airport, with flights tentatively pencilled in to begin in June 2027.
Under the provisional schedule, flight FJ991 would depart Nadi at 7.55pm, arriving into Western Sydney at 10.55pm.
If confirmed, Fiji Airways would be among the first international carriers to operate from Western Sydney International, Sydney’s second airport, which is set to open ahead of the proposed launch date.
Fiji Airways currently flies between Nadi and Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne, Adelaide and Canberra.
A Western Sydney service would extend that footprint further, positioning the airline to tap growing demand from Sydney’s western suburbs.
