Two fishing boats from different eras take centre stage as we take our weekly voyage into times gone by in the local area. Buckie in days gone by will look back at pictures of the town - and surrounding areas - and shine a light on some of the biggest events to have happened in our community. Taken from the archives of the Buckie and District Fishing Heritage Centre Ltd, the pictures show the town and its surrounding areas - in some cases more than 100 years ago. This week’s photos focus on vessels plying the fishing trade decades apart. The SD Brine takes us back to the days when the steam drifters ruled the fishing fleet during the late 19th and early 20th centuries.
