Newmark has been appointed to market a 254-home multi-family rental development in Ashford, Kent, with a guide price of £65m on behalf of an undisclosed owner. The development is on Victoria Road near Ashford International Station with fast connections to London and the Kent coast. Bobby Barnett, partner in the capital markets living team at Newmark, said: “Victoria Road is a rare opportunity to acquire scale in one of the South East’s best-connected commuter towns. Alexander Clough, associate in the capital markets team, is also advising on the opportunity alongside Barnett. Earlier this year, Newmark strengthened its valuation business by hiring residential experts Lindsey Lock and Dan Scott as partners, Laura Wheatley as an associate and Oliver Light as a surveyor.
