An Imperial mistake: Hard cider cans led to DUI arrestA disabled vehicle blocking a road in Homestead led to one driver facing multiple charges last week. Officers asked the driver, 41-year-old Ezra Dalton, for his driver’s license and if the can sitting near the vehicle was his. Police said he also refused to take the field sobriety test and pulled away when police attempted to cuff him. Police said Dalton began cursing at them and hit his head on the patrol car multiple times before they could restrain him. They also confirmed the cans in the vehicle were Excelsiors Imperial hard cider, the same brand as the one found outside the vehicle.
