Graham has been appointed to build the Didcot to Culham River Crossing road and bridge for Oxfordshire County Council. The deal is the final construction contract awarded under the council’s £332m major infrastructure scheme for Didcot and surrounding areas, known as HIF1. Graham will build a 3.6km single-carriageway road between the A4130 at Collett roundabout in Didcot and the A415 at Culham. The wider HIF1 programme is intended to support housing and employment growth around Didcot, alongside improved bus, walking and cycling connections. Data provider Glenigan valued that contract at £74m when Construction News reported the contractor’s appointment in April.
