Washington State ballot measure IL26-638 would require girls from kindergarten through high school to undergo sex-verification testing before participating in sports.
Testing includes genetic screening, testosterone testing, or examination of reproductive anatomy, The Cut reported.
The measure would bar transgender athletes from girls' teams and, if passed, would be the nation's most extreme of its kind.
Physicians raised concerns about how exams would be conducted, by whom, and the risks to privacy and potential sexual abuse.
"To be fair, conservatives openly hates women’s and girls sports and this is a sure fire policy method of destroying them," argued Zeteo's Asawin Suebsaeng.
