BlueCross Invests $10M In Riverfront ProjectCHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) – The BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee Foundation is committing $10 million to the BlueCross Healthy Place at Ross’s Landing, becoming the leading private funder of River City Company’s Riverfront Parks NEXT campaign. The BlueCross Healthy Place at Ross’s Landing will be completed as part of the Riverfront Parks NEXT plan to revitalize downtown Chattanooga’s connection to the Tennessee River. River City Company says the project will add new recreation spaces and improve access to the riverfront for residents and visitors. The Ross’s Landing project will become the fifth BlueCross Healthy Place in the Chattanooga area, following BlueCross Healthy Place projects in Highland Park and St. Elmo, as well as the Chattanooga Airport and Pavilion Park projects, which are currently under construction. According to the BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee Foundation, it has invested $89 million in BlueCross Healthy Place projects across Tennessee, with 31 projects open or in progress statewide.
