Aug. 3—Carroll has dismissed Mike Pomfret as its football head coach effective immediately. Mitch Weitz has been named the interim football head coach. He is an assistant coach for football and the boys bowling head coach at Carroll. Pomfret, a 2007 Carroll alum, was entering his second season as the football head coach at Carroll after being hired in January 2025.
