Tokyo: Tibet House Japan started its three-month Tibetan language class on 1 August 2026, at the Tibet House office and online. The language class is aimed at helping introduce Tibetan language, culture, and history to the interested participants. On being asked why they got interested in joining the Tibetan language class, some replied having plans to visit India and Tibet. Some of the repeat students said they want to further refresh and polish their understanding of the Tibetan language and the spiritual culture of Tibet. On the first day of the class, basic Tibetan greetings, the Tibetan alphabet, vowels, Buddhist concept, and recitation of the Manjushri mantra were taught.
